Our Impactful Projects for Afghan Women
Empowerment Projects for Afghan Women in Blacktown & Western Sydney | AWOTM
Our projects support Afghan women in Australia to thrive, belong and lead. From Blacktow, across Western Sydney and NSW, our wellbeing programs offer culturally safe counselling, peer support circles and activities that strengthen mental health, resilience and connection. Leadership initiatives build confidence and voice — mentoring, public speaking workshops and community advocacy training help women take on leadership roles in families, workplaces and local organisations.
Skills and employment programs focus on practical pathways to work and financial independence: accredited training, job-readiness coaching, digital literacy, resume and interview support, and small-business mentoring for women exploring entrepreneurship.

We also deliver innovative community projects that respond to women’s needs - intergenerational cultural events, women-led social enterprises, and collaborative incubation programs that create work experience and social connections. All programs are delivered with cultural and language sensitivity.
