Film Premiere: My Mother and I Launches at NSW Parliament House

Mark your calendars: Monday, 2nd March 2026, 10am

We are thrilled to announce the premiere of My Mother and I: the untold stories of Afghan women, a powerful documentary short film that captures the lived experiences and cultural heritage of Afghan women in Australia.

A Story That Needs to Be Told

This isn't just another documentary—it's a collection of voices that have been waiting to be heard. Through intimate conversations between Afghan mothers and daughters, we've created a film that celebrates resilience, honors family bonds, and preserves stories that risk being forgotten.

Developed in partnership with Mercy Works, this project has been a labor of love, bringing together our community to share their truths, their struggles, and their triumphs.

An Exclusive Premiere Experience

Join us for the official launch at the Theatrette, NSW Parliament House, graciously hosted by Stephen Bali MP, Member for Blacktown and Parliamentary Secretary for Planning and Public Spaces.
