Call for donations to support Learner Driver program for young Afghan women

Our Learn Driver program for young women of Afghan backgrounds needs your help.

Your donation to Afghan Women on the Move Inc is tax-deductible, helping us empower women and create meaningful change.

If you are in a position to support Afghan Women on the Move, we are seeking donations to support our Learn to Drive program, supporting financially disadvantaged young women to get their driver’s licence and help with securing employment.

Our program offers 10 learner classes to eligible young women. The investment cost of $1,000 will help her to secure her licence and progress her goals towards employment following studies.

Driving is a key skill for most Australians, as it is essential for performing vital tasks such as going to work, shopping, visiting religious places, visiting family, taking care of children, attending school, and going on vacations. Afghan Women on the Move assists Afghan refugee women and girls who have recently moved to Australia and need support with driving and obtaining a license. The organisation offers training courses to help them prepare for the test and obtain a P license. Many women and girls have benefited from these programs and have expressed satisfaction with the results.

Thank you for your support!
