Strategic Plan 2025-26
Afghan Women On The Move’s 2025–26 strategy is focused on helping Afghan and multicultural women in Australia find purpose, power and place through practical, culturally safe support. Our impact areas include health, life and job-readiness skills, referrals, and advocacy, with a strong focus on women aged 18–45 in the Afghan community, particularly in NSW.
Through programs such as digital and financial literacy, employment and skills training through Drive to Employment, women’s health initiatives, and creative advocacy programs, we are helping women build confidence, strengthen independence, and connect with the right support. These programs are designed to respond to real community needs while staying true to our values of integrity, respect, empowerment, and diversity.
Over the near future, AWOTM will focus on strengthening core programs, improving role clarity and operational systems, deepening community engagement, and securing more reliable funding to sustain long-term impact. We are also strengthening governance, reporting, marketing and communications, and risk management so the organisation can remain focused, effective and sustainable.
Strategic Planning
Each year, the Board reviews and progresses our strategic planning, with a key priority on sustainability of the organisation into the future, with the assistance of funding allies and philanthropic donorship.
