SSI Allianz Refugee Scholarships

SSI and Allianz aim to continue that tradition by providing targeted scholarships to those who are the most in need and willing to overcome social and economic challenges.

In response to the various needs of refugee communities, SSI and Allianz are offering approximately 30 scholarships to individuals across a range of education categories:

Secondary School
Vocational Education & Training
University
Skills & Qualifications Recognition

The scholarships are open to anyone who meets the eligibility criteria below:

  • be from a refugee background on a permanent humanitarian visa - sub-class 117, 200, 201, 202, 203, 204, 842 or 866. Applicants on a SHEV 790 or TPV 785 will be considered on a case-by-case basis

  • have been living in Australian for five years or less

  • be able to demonstrate additional social-economic disadvantage such as financial hardship or family challenges

  • study and reside in NSW, QLD or VIC

  • not have previously received a scholarship from SSI

Note: No more than one scholarship will be awarded in each immediate family.
