Community Newsletter October 2021

Maryam Zahid, Founder & Director, Afghan Women On The Move

Dear All

It's been an exciting time at Afghan Women on the Move with recent developments such as our winning the Multicultural NSW COVID community grant recently.

We are working very hard to put an interesting and informative program together. I am excited to see many of our community together to talk about the way ahead with Covid 19.

The situation in Afghanistan is very concerning for the women and children who are suffering from lack of food and basic necessities in life,. Through the fundraising from places like Bridge Housing and University of Technology Sydney (UTS) we have just sent funding to Afghanistan for food and some of life’s basic needs.

As we head into the Christmas festivities our team working on strategic planning is working hard so we can move a few steps forward in 2022 with AWOTM key objectives. This is a very exciting time.

Please read our latest Community Newsletter in full with all the latest from Afghan Women on the Move.
